Microneedling

Micro needling (also referred to as Skin Needling or Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) creates micro-channels in the top layers of the skin, the body responds by releasing growth factors which produce new collagen and elastin under the surface of the skin, this starts the rebuilding process to reveal plump, new skin and a clearer complexion. giving  radiance and smoothing imperfections

The treatment is performed with a small hand-held device used for both body and face skin rejuvenation. It contains micro surgical needles glided across the skin to penetrate the deeper surface of the skin to stimulate blood flow and force a skin repair response.

It can take up to six weeks before visible signs are seen and for best results, we recommend three of these treatments between 3 to 4 week intervals. In the treatment of acne scars and other types of scarring, it may be necessary that you will need  up to five sessions every 2 to 3 weeks for maximum results

It is a natural treatment that can significantly help to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, aged or sun-damaged skin, acne scarring, general scarring, pigmentation, stretch marks and poor skin texture,n and hair growth

You will see a plumping effect almost immediately, however the natural healing process takes time, so it can take up to six weeks before you see significant results – although some improvements can be seen much sooner. The process will continue over the following months and several treatments are usually required.

Mostly anyone can have the procedure performed as long as they do not have any active infections, lesions, or any known wound healing problems.
Although Microneedling is extremely good for acne scaring we never do this treatment where acne is active as it will irritate the area  make them more inflamed and potentially spread bacteria. Wait until your skin is more clear before attempting the procedure.

Skin needling can be safely performed on all skin colours and types. There is no risk of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation as the melanocytes remain intact, like the epidermis, during skin needling. Other invasive procedures such as laser resurfacing are not recommended for Asian skin due to the potential risks of delayed wound healing, pigmentary changes and scarring. This is where skin needling has an advantage as these potential risks are very unlikely due to the epidermis remaining intact. Use of skin needling is viewed as a suitable procedure as it does not affect the heightened wound healing response in Asian skin. This natural reaction is not induced by skin needling as it does not disrupt the melanocytes, the cells that produce melanin which is a pigment responsible for skin colour.

After your treatment, your skin will appear red and flushed; a normal sign that the treatment is working and will subside within 24 hours few days.  SPF 30 should be worn daily following on from the treatment for at least two weeks. An ongoing effective daily skincare regime is crucial to help promote and achieve optimum results

The cost of the treatment is £125
